About 5D Retrievers 

5D Retrievers is located in Giddings, Texas on a 63-acre ranch in Lee County. We are a small Hobby Breeder producing only a handful of litters a year. Here at 5D Retrievers we strive to produce happy, healthy puppies with excellent temperaments. 
Getting our start in animal husbandry raising and showing quarter horses for over 25 years, In 2012, we turned our focus to our love for Labrador Retrievers. We used the expertise in animal health, reproduction, and genetics, gained while in the equine industry, and incorporated that knowledge into forming a phenomenal Labrador breeding program.
In general, we have found Labrador Retrievers to be the perfect versatile dog. Whether you are looking for a service, show, or hunting partner, Labradors are sure to excel.
Labradors can primarily be grouped: 

• ​American or Field 
• English style
• Dual purpose (combination of American and English) We appreciate the differences that the various types possess.  have but have also found that when paired together they have a great synergistic effect and produce some very well rounded, smart, low to medium energy, athletic individuals.

At 5D Retrievers we have English type and dual purpose labradors.
New in 2026, we are embarking on a new direction using solid benchmark champion European lines.
Our Goal here always at 5D is to breed for conformation, health, and personality for the sake of bettering the breed.
Here at the Ranch our dogs are a part of our family. Our dogs enjoy swimming in the pond, playing fetch, sunbathing, and making friends with the cattle, horses, and other dogs on the property.
We produce all colors. All of our parents are genetically tested for all of the common Labrador specific disorders. This means you will never purchase a puppy affected with these disorders.
Our puppies are maintained in an enclosed, temperature-controlled nursery. This environment ensures the best chance for health and safety. They are loved and tended to on a frequent basis.

Upon pick up your puppy will be:

• Up to date on vaccinations and worming
• Beginning socializing to people, noises, and new environments
• Potty trained to a litter box
• Exposed to diverse tactile enrichment with toys and items rotated frequently. ​ ​

Here on the Ranch, we don't just raise labs, we also have horses and cattle that our dogs frequently interact with. Multiple live creeks run through the property, ensuring an abundance of wildlife, fishing and fun.
